The SCBD Series SmartCell® Digital Load Cells combine advanced digital technology, industry-leading waterproof protection, and simplified system architecture to deliver exceptional performance for truck scales and heavy-capacity weighing applications. Designed for the most demanding environments, these stainless steel digital double-ended shear beam load cells eliminate many of the installation, calibration, and maintenance challenges associated with traditional analog load cell systems.
Unlike conventional load cells that require extensive junction box wiring and manual corner adjustments, the SCBD Series features internal digital calibration technology that linearizes performance across the entire weighing range. This advanced internal processing eliminates voltage-related error curves and helps maintain exceptional weighing accuracy throughout the life of the scale. Load cells connect directly to one another in a convenient daisy-chain configuration, eliminating complex wiring requirements and removing the need for a junction box altogether.
Constructed from stainless steel and rated IP69K, the SCBD Series is engineered to thrive in harsh outdoor environments where moisture, flooding, washdowns, and extreme weather conditions are common. Each load cell is completely encapsulated and filled using a patented internal potting process that eliminates internal voids and prevents moisture intrusion. This exclusive waterproofing technology provides a level of protection unavailable from conventional load cell designs and helps ensure long-term reliability in truck scale installations, aggregate operations, recycling facilities, ports, and industrial weighing sites.
Available in capacities of 75,000 lb and 100,000 lb, the SCBD Series is NTEP and OIML certified for legal-for-trade applications and supports modern digital weighing infrastructure through integrated diagnostics and monitoring capabilities. Included iSite® remote diagnostics software provides proactive system monitoring with e-mail and text alerts, helping operators identify potential issues before they impact operations.
